Golem Legend
Golem is in Jewish Prague mysticism an artificial man made of clay
revived by magic words. He was created by Prague rabbi Jehuda Ben Löw
Bezalel in 1580. The legend says that he still lies somewhere over the
loft of the Old-New Synagogue in the former Jewish
ghetto in the center of the town. Following the next you can find the
full
Golem legend text.
Golem Mini Bottles
The production of Golem series started in 1995. Olomouc artistic ceramist
Vladimir Kovarik designed the shape as well as the colours of the bottles.
The series includes 7 differently coloured bottles that contain all sorts
of Czech made whiskies in 1995. The bottles are numbered and the edition
limit will reach the sum of 1000 Golems.
There are labels on the bottom of both Golem's feet. They explain who Golem is and provide information about the bottle, about the kind of whisky in it and the distillery. The whisky name also reads on the Golem's belt. The bottles are plugged with corks and sealed up by a sealing wax. The height of the bottles is approx. 9.5 cm (~ 3.7 inches).
